What is one thing you simply can't road trip without?

An amazing playlist of course!

(...and maybe sunflower seeds...and a large double-double)

The Chaleur Region is not just about amazing seafood and adventures, it's also host to a large variety of talented local bands and musicians that will make your road trip in the Maritimes one to remember.

That's why we decided to create a Spotify playlist!

The Criteria

So how does a band/artist make it on our "Chaleur Region Playlist"?

It's simple really.

Here are our criteria:

  • Must be considered a "Local Artist or Band". At least one member had to have called the Chaleur Region home at some point in his/her life.
  • Must be Road-trip-worthy. For this one, we omitted holiday-themed tunes (i.e.: Christmas albums)
  • Must be on Spotify.

To make things even more interesting, we also went ahead and created three separate playlists:

This way, you'll have a playlist for every occasion: road trip, camping, hiking, around a campfire...you name it!

So, without further ado, here are the Chaleur Region's best tunes!

Région Chaleur Region [2019] -- Complete Playlist Complète

About this playlist: While we are constantly updating it, we're launching this playlist with an impressive 578 songs -- that's 36 hours and 43 minutes of pure Chaleur Region goodness.

Here, you'll find a wide range of artists and musical styles. On the menu? Thomé Young, FM Berlin, JBBQ, The Belle Comedians, Les Hay Babies, Candlefly...and much much more.

This playlist alone may very well make you fall in love with the Chaleur Region, so...don't say we didn't warn you!

Want to narrow it down a bit?

Part of our region's beauty are our two official languages. If you're looking to catch some English Chaleur Region tunes, look no further than...

Chaleur Region | English Edition [2019]

About this playlist: 128 carefully selected anglophone songs from Chaleur Region artists. That's 8 hours and 17 minutes of creativity ranging from JP LeBlanc and Necat Memisoglu to the Blind Jacks and Lull In Conversation.

There's no shortage of style (and substance!) in this playlist, and if you have any existing ties to the Chaleur Region, you may very well get a good nostalgia kick out of it!

Looking to connect to your Acadian roots?

Perhaps we can interest you in our carefully curated 100% Francophone Chaleur Region playlist!

Région Chaleur | Édition Francophone [2019]

About this playlist: There's no shortage of culture in northern New-Brunswick, and these Francophone Chaleur Region artists are a true testament to that. We're talking about 380 songs -- that's nearly 24 hours of non-stop music -- spanning too many genres for us to count.

You'll find all the big names: John Boulay, Danny Boudreau, Denis Richard, Thomé Young, Les Hay Babies, Ode à l'Acadie...but don't just take our word for it: just press play!

For best results: tune-in to this playlist while on a Chaleur Region beach, at sunset, with a freshly caught lobster and a few good friends.
